Michael Jacoby has visited Ireland countless times to explore its fascinating golf courses. But the Dublin region and County Wicklow have left a lasting impression on his heart. From June 15 to June 22, he will guide you on an unforgettable, custom-planned golf trip that focuses not only on the game but also on Ireland's beauty.
This special journey is organized by Tailormade Golf Tours, Cork/Ireland. Owner Peter O'Sullivan, a passionate expert in Irish golf culture, has organized countless golf stays in Ireland and will enrich the group with his knowledge.
Travel independently to the elegant Grand Hotel in Malahide, near Dublin.
(Most travelers will choose the morning Aer Lingus flight from Düsseldorf, landing at 11:20 in Dublin, or the Eurowings flight arriving shortly thereafter. Complimentary group bus transfer to the hotel is provided for both flights.)
Malahide, a picturesque coastal village northeast of Dublin, enchants with its charming mix of history and nature. The waterfront, lined with flowering gardens, offers breathtaking views of Dublin Bay and invites romantic strolls. The lively atmosphere, with its cozy cafes and inviting restaurants, will captivate you, as will the four coastal links courses awaiting you!
The 4-star Grand Hotel is an elegant, historic haven directly on the sea. Enjoy modern, comfortable rooms, many with stunning sea views. The exquisite restaurant offers a blend of local and international cuisine, and the cozy bar invites you to relax after an exciting day. Malahide's charming center is within walking distance.
Around 2:00 pm, the group gathers for a welcome meeting at the hotel, where Peter O'Sullivan and Michael Jacoby will warmly greet you and provide detailed information. Afterwards, a bus will take the group to the famous Guinness Storehouse, a must-see in Dublin! Don't miss the brewery tour, followed by a freshly poured pint of Guinness. (Transfer and tour included in the tour price.) Then, explore Dublin before heading to the Arlington Hotel for a Celtic show with dinner (admission and dinner included, drinks self-paid).
After the show, the bus returns to the hotel. If you wish, you can explore the Temple Bar district to experience Irish joie de vivre firsthand. (Return to the hotel independently by taxi or DART train.)
After a hearty breakfast, the bus takes the group to the first golf course - Corballis Links.
This gem of the Irish links family offers breathtaking views of the northern Dublin coastline and a unique challenge for golfers of all skill levels, recently enhanced with new coastal holes. After the round, the bus returns to the hotel. The evening is yours to enjoy Malahide’s local atmosphere and Irish hospitality.
Today, the scenic Howth Golf Club awaits, a heathland course with stunning views over Dublin Bay. Designed by legendary architect James Braid in 1916, the course offers an unforgettable experience. The 5th hole, a masterpiece dog-leg, is particularly captivating. After golf, the famous seafood restaurants in Howth harbor invite you to enjoy the day’s fresh catch as fishing boats dock right before your eyes. (Self-paid.)
Today is dedicated to exploring Dublin. After breakfast, the group visits Dublin Castle for a German-language tour (included in the tour price). Then, you’ll have the whole day to discover Ireland’s capital at your own pace. Return independently to the hotel by DART, bus, or taxi.
The group heads by bus to the picturesque Blessington Lakes and Tullfarris Golf Club. After golf, enjoy a late lunch before an adventure through the majestic Wicklow Mountains, ending at the 5-star Druids Glen Resort. This luxurious hotel offers every comfort, a spa, and an inviting pool. Reflect on the day with a drink at the cozy hotel pub or scenic terrace.
A cliff-top course with breathtaking views of the Irish Sea, Co. Wicklow Golf Club, awaits today. This 18-hole course has been a scenic favorite since 1904. After the round, enjoy a hearty meal and, for those interested, a visit to Ireland’s highest pub, Johnny Fox's, for a unique Irish pub experience.
The magnificent Druids Glen Golf Club, also known as the Augusta of Europe, awaits you. This parkland course, home to the Irish Open and Seve Trophy, is lined with centuries-old trees. The most famous hole, Druids Altar, features a Celtic cross visible from the tee. The final round will be played as a tournament, with an awards dinner on the hotel terrace to honor the top players before we celebrate the end of the trip in the hotel pub.
After a late checkout, the group departs at 2:00 pm for Dublin Airport. Aer Lingus and Eurowings fly back to Düsseldorf in the early evening.
Let Ireland enchant you with this unique journey, planned by Michael Jacoby and Peter O'Sullivan, a trip you’ll never forget!
